History:

The Terramundi, known as an ‘Etruscan Money Amphora,’ has a rich history, having been used in Italy for more than 2000 years. The traditional hand-thrown design has remained consistent over the centuries, with examples displayed in the British Museum. Tradition: When the first coin is dropped into the pot, it must be filled to the brim before it can be smashed while making a wish. It is a tradition to replace the pot and use the money for good causes. Broken pots often find a new life as homes for plants and candles. These money pots are believed to bring good fortune, accompanied by a special fortune coin with each pot.
